My first photo contest resulted in winning a best in show. This once in a lifetime photograph was taken at Grizzly Island California using a 6x7 medium format camera. This original image is available in 16x20 printed on Cibachrome paper, matted and framed.

In 1982, I began to take pictures of my newborn daughter. During this time, I learned that I had an eye for photography. I immediately began to explore this pursuit and began to take photography classes at a local college. In the first year, I learned to master black and white and continued my pursuit in shooting color slides.

As I continued my pursuit in photography, I traveled throughout California and Oregon searching for the right shot and pursue excellence in photography and printing. The next phase allowed me to explore the night and how light interacted with film. I love night photography and I have  spent hours searching for the right location and the right light. The photograph above, The Thief, is one of my favorites. This original was taken utilizing a 6x7 medium format camera. This original image is available in 20x24 printed on Ektachrome paper, matted and framed.
